HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A popular spring tradition is returning to Hutchinson with a new venue this year.
Hutch Rec has announced the return of its annual “Grandma & Me Tea,” scheduled for Saturday, May 2, from noon to 2 p.m. The event will now be held at the Hilton Garden Inn, offering what organizers describe as a more elegant setting for the longstanding community gathering.
The event is designed to bring grandmothers and their granddaughters together for an afternoon of connection and shared experiences. Attendees are encouraged to dress for the occasion and enjoy tea, refreshments, and entertainment in a relaxed, celebratory atmosphere.
Activities will include live music from the Hutchinson High School Orchestra, vocal performances, an interactive magic show, and a photo booth to capture memories.
Hutch Rec says the event continues to be a meaningful opportunity for families to slow down and spend quality time together, whether attending for the first time or continuing a yearly tradition.
Registration is required by May 1. The cost is $30 for grandmothers and $15 for granddaughters, with limited seating available.
