City Council to readdress police contract

Posted Jul 20, 2020 10:00 AM

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — After tabling action on the matter, the Hutchinson City Council will readdress a new collective bargaining agreement with the Fraternal Order of Police during a regular meeting Tuesday.

The council was supposed to pass the contract last month, but some wording needed to be corrected, so the matter was set aside until now. It is the only action item on the agenda for the council when it meets at 9 a.m. in the Hutchinson city offices.

The meeting will be closed to the public, but will be streamed on the city’s YouTube channel and cable channel 7.
