HUTCHINSON, Kan. — If there are concerns about voting in person in the approaching primary election, it’s not showing up yet at the Reno County Clerk's Office.

Deputy Elections Clerk Jenna Fager says that, since advance voting started, nearly 500 people have come into the annex in person to vote ahead of the August primary. The office also mailed out nearly 5,700 absentee ballots this summer.

Advance voting takes place until noon on Aug. 3. All absentee and mailed out ballots need to be turned into the clerk's office by 7 p.m. on election day or be postmarked on or before Aug. 4.
