RENO COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 7p.m. Saturday in Reno County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2019 International Truck driven by James Dustin Gates, 37, Sedalia, Colorado, was northbound on K14 at 56th Avenue.
The driver swerved to avoid a deer. The truck left the roadway to the right and the driver overcorrected. The truck rotated counter-clockwise, rolled onto its side, entered the west ditch and rolled onto its top.
EMS transported Gates to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
