HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Kansas Housing Resources Corporation still has funds available under the Kansas Eviction Prevention Program. The program serves both tenants and landlords who have missed paying or collecting at least one rent payment since April 1, 2020 due to the COVID pandemic.
Approved tenants are eligible for a maximum of nine months of assistance, not to exceed $5,000 per household. If the application is approved, the landlord receives rental assistance funds directly from KEPP to apply to the tenant’s account.
The South Central Kansas Economic Development District (SCKEDD) offices in Hutchinson are the local connection to the funding process. Contact them at 620-259-6544 for more information.
