HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Lynsey Becher with Stage 9 let us know what is planned for Talking Tombstones this weekend.
"Usually, Talking Tombstones is the walking tour," Becher said. "Because we got really good feedback last year that people liked not having to walk in the uneven cemetery ground, we are going to do a stationary Talking Tombstones this year. It is amongst the tombstones, still. The actors are performing in the round. It will be a bring your own chair event."
There will be a few folding chairs, but most folks have lawn chairs of their own that will be more comfortable to bring.
"This year, we have all new people that we are featuring," Becher said. "Only one of them is actually buried out at Eastside Cemetery. We're kind of branching out. We have some exciting new people, plus I've created a couple of new things where we're actually going to have a little bit of magic in the show."
Emcee and local magician Ron Sylvester will keep the crowd entertained between Talking Tombstones actors. There are two Talking Tombstones showtimes Saturday at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
