SEDGWICK COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 3 p.m. Friday in Sedgwick County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Saturn Ion driven by Rebecca Shields, 26, Newton, was southbound on Interstate 135 just south of 101st Street. 

The Saturn crossed the median into the northbound lanes. A Peterbilt semi driven by Anthony Crane, 58, Bristol, Tennessee, struck the Saturn.

Shields was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to the&nbsp;Forensic Science Center. Crane was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
