RICE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating new charges after a chase on Saturday in Rice County.

Just after 4:30 p.m. Saturday, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the city of Lyons, according to Rice County Sheriff Bryant Evans. The driver, identified as 39-year-old Bradley Wicks, wanted on multiple warrants, fled in his car.

Police and Rice County deputies chased Wicks to a rural home where a 2-hour standoff began.  Wicks had been living at that home. The homeowner was not there and no one else was inside.

Wicks eventually left the home peacefully. Officers arrested and booked him into the Rice County Jail. Officials are still working to determine charges, according to Evans.  There were no injuries.

Sterling police and the Kansas Highway Patrol assisted with the investigation, according to Evans.
