
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson City Council will begin its serious budget discussions for 2023 at a meeting Thursday evening at 6 p.m.
The council will go over Municipal Equipment Reserve Fund planned expenditures and execution of its Capital Improvement Plan.
According to agenda documents, the city council will be presented plans to spend an estimated $3,213,276 in FY 2023 on MERF projects and an estimated $26,595,000 between CIP and reserve projects.
Future sessions are scheduled on water and sewer rates May 24 and general fund expenditures May 31.
City budgets typically have their official hearings in August.
