
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The annual Sheriff's Tax Sale was held in Memorial Hall in Hutchinson on Wednesday.
A total of 66 properties of various sizes sold in a public auction. All properties initially were sold for a total of $442,583.00.
The Sheriff's Office said on Facebook, "Everything went smoothly and we appreciate the public’s patience as Deputies processed their purchase,"
This was also County Counselor Joseph O’Sullivan’s last tax sale. He and his assistant Dorothy will be retiring at the end of the year.
R.E.I.B. Auction assisted the department during the event.
