HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Rise Up Reno Prevention Network needs volunteers to be mentors in USD 308 elementary schools. Volunteers will meet with students once a week to help with schoolwork, listen and encourage them.
Volunteers are also needed to be part of the Read With Me program. Volunteers will read with students once a week, help with comprehension, retention, and sounding out words.
The minimum age of volunteers is 18. Training and background checks must be completed and passed. Volunteers must also be willing to volunteer for the duration of the school year.
