HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Property tax statements were sent out last week on November 19, according to County Treasurer Brenda Kowitz.
"I know people have received them as our phone is ringing off the wall," Kowitz said.
The biggest problem encountered by the treasurer's office is customers not writing their checks correctly or for the wrong amount. The tax and specials must both be paid.
Any incorrectly addressed statements will be returned to the Treasurer's office, but if you have any questions, you can go to the annex and ask, or call the treasurer’s office at 620-694-2938.
