Woman and 9-year-old from Hutch injured in SUV, van crash

RENO COUNTY —Three adults and a child were injured in an accident just after 8 a.m. Sunday in Reno County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2022 Buick Enclave driven by Arundhathrik R. Induri, 22, Norman, Oklahoma, was eastbound on Trail West Road at Kansas 14.

The driver failed to stop at a stop sign, entered the intersection and struck a northbound 2015 Toyota Sienna driven by Lucinda F. Miller, 33, Hutchinson. 

After impact, the Toyota traveled off the road and struck a building on the northeast corner of the intersection.

EMS transported Miller and a passenger in the Toyota Hannah R. Miller, 9, Hutchinson and two passengers in the Buick Rahul Katayam, 24 and Keerthana Nampally, 25, both of Norman, Oklahoma to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.  Induri was not injured.

Nampally and Katayam were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
