Tyler Drew Kidd, 34, formerly of Hutchinson, died August 11, 2020, at his home. He was born May 8, 1986, in Hutchinson, to Mark Kidd and Lori (Mendenhall) Kidd Durant.

Tyler graduated from Hutchinson High School in 2005. He enjoyed life, loved to laugh and to make people laugh. Tyler was often found listening to vintage music such as Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, the Beatles, Pink Floyd, and the Rolling Stones on his old-school record player. He also spent many late nights playing video games.

Tyler joined the United States Army in 2007, in which he found his source of purpose and pride. He served two consecutive tours in Iraq with the 25th Infantry Division. Tyler received the Army Commendation Medal for his exceptional service during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Tragically, Tyler’s Army career was cut short due to a training exercise in Hawaii. He was honorably discharged in 2012.
