🏈 Dallas is NJCAA Coach of the Year

CHARLOTTE, NC —Hutchinson's Drew Dallas has been named the 2024 NJCAA Division I Football Coach of the Year after leading the Blue Dragons to their second national title.

In his 5th season as head coach of the Blue Dragons, Dallas led Hutchinson to claim the 2024 NJCAA Division I Football National Championship at West Texas A&M in Canyon, TX.  The No. 3 Blue Dragons claimed a 28-23 victory over top-ranked Iowa Western on December 18, 2024. On their way to the National Championship, the Blue Dragons defeated No.2 ranked Georgia Military in the NJCAA Division I Football Playoff semifinal contest to earn a spot in the title game.

Dallas led Hutchinson to an 11-1 overall record, with his only loss of the season being to Butler. The Blue Dragons finished the season in the top-5 in the nation in points per game (45.1), yards per game (463.7), rushing yards per game (267.3), rushing touchdowns (42) and tackles (849). The Blue Dragons named five players to the 2024 NJCAA DI Football All-America team including Waymond Jordan Jr., Marshon Oxley, Samari Collier, Bubba Craig, and JaQuel Mack.

In his first season at the helm of the Blue Dragons' program, Dallas led Hutchinson to claim its first NJCAA Football National Championship in the program's 89-year history.  The No. 1 Blue Dragons claimed a 29-27 victory over second-ranked Snow on June 5, 2021, inside historic War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, AR en route to the title.  

Now after five seasons as the Blue Dragons Head Coach, Dallas has amassed a record of 49-5 with four Jayhawk Conference championships, a KJCCC Playoff championship, four appearances in the NJCAA national playoffs, three appearances in the NJCAA Championship Game and two national championships.
