HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Fire Department responded to a structure fire early Friday morning in the 400 block of East Avenue C.
Crews were dispatched at 2:26 a.m. and arrived to find light smoke coming from the west side of the home and possibly the attic. All residents were able to evacuate safely without injury.
Firefighters determined the fire was primarily located on the exterior of the structure and quickly extinguished the flames. Crews remained on scene to ventilate the home, perform overhaul operations, and assist with the investigation.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined.
