
David James Bottomley, 68, died July 17, 2020, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born February 7, 1952, in Wichita, to Robert J. ‘Bob’ and Charlene L. (Nichols) Bottomley.
David graduated from Wichita Southeast High School and the University of Kansas. He was a salesman for Feist Publications for many years following his experience at Bob Bottomley Olds, Cadillac, Datsun Dealership and Midwest Ford.
On June 16, 1995, David married Mary Kay Brown in Hutchinson. She survives.
Also surviving are stepson, Jason Weilert (Nicole), St. Petersburg, FL; stepdaughter, Tisha Weilert (Cole Allaman), Lakin; step-grandchildren, Bailee Weilert, Hutchinson, Lawson Beymer, Tipton and Paxton Allaman, all of Lakin, Lily Jackson, Springfield, MO; and step-great-grandson, Jaxton Cooper, Hutchinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Robert C. and Steven N. Bottomley.
Cremation has taken place. A Come-and-Go reception will be held at Kay’s home from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2020. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
