HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson resident Tyson Thrall officially announced his campaign this week, saying he plans to focus on strengthening families, improving education, lowering taxes and protecting constitutional freedoms.
Thrall, his wife Kayla and their three children live in Hutchinson, where the family is involved in church and community activities. In announcing his candidacy, Thrall described his campaign as a grassroots effort centered on local leadership and community values.
According to the campaign, Thrall’s priorities include restoring academic excellence in schools, reducing classroom distractions and increasing parental involvement in education.
The campaign also emphasizes lowering property taxes and providing tax relief for Hutchinson families, renters, homeowners, farmers and small businesses.
Thrall also says he supports protecting Kansas farmland, water resources and local control from outside development interests.
Other campaign priorities include defending constitutional freedoms such as the Second Amendment, religious liberty, free speech and parental rights, while supporting churches, nonprofits and faith-based community solutions.
The campaign says Thrall’s focus will be on keeping decisions local and ensuring future generations can continue to thrive in Hutchinson and across District 102.
