KINGMAN, Kan. - Cooper Harris came up big for the Hutchinson Monarchs Sunday night in Kingman to double home Blake Bradford to take the lead 3-2 in the top of the ninth.
The Monarchs Derick Johnson came on in relief to get the save in the ninth and give Kamden Edge the win for the Monarchs.
Next action for the Monarchs will be Monday night as Hutchinson opens a three game home stand with a game that was postponed due to unplayable field conditions at Hobart-Detter earlier in the month vs the Great Bend Black Cats. First pitch will be at 7pm.
Hutch will then have games on Tuesday and Wednesday night this week vs the Haysville Aviators with first pitch for both nights set for 7pm.
