Carolyn A. Mildfelt, age 79 went home to be with the Lord on the 24th day of February 2024, in Hutchinson, KS. She was born August 1, 1944, in Leavenworth, KS, the daughter of Lucian Baker (Sarge) Wilson and Dorthy M. Wilson.
In 1951, Carolyn moved to Hutchinson and attended schools in Hutchinson and received her GED. She went on to attend nursing school in McPherson where she obtained her Licensed Practical Nursing certificate of class 23. She went on to work in area nursing homes and private duty nursing. She married Gerald Lee Martin on December 10, 1959, in Newton, KS and later divorced. She remarried Walter Mildfelt Jr. On March 22, 1981, in Hutchinson, KS and was preceded in death on May 26, 2000. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church of Hutchinson and attended other churches in the area as well.
She is survived by one son, Gerald (Jerry) Martin Jr. Of the home; two daughters, Lucinda (Cindy) Miller of Onaga, KS and Lori Strong (Rick Sands) of Rogers, AR; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, and many other relatives and family friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her late husband Walt; son, James Christopher Martin; son-in-law, Scott Miller; brother, Larry Ray Miller, and granddaughter, Brandi Dawn Martin.
