Alan Raupe |1953-2022|

Alan Raupe, 68, passed away March 18, 2022, at his home.  He was born April 18, 1953, in Stillwater, OK, to Arthur Lyle and Norma Jean (Lazenby) Raupe.

Alan was a 1971 graduate of C.E. Donart High School, Stillwater, OK.  He started as a restaurant cook after high school, working his way up to managing restaurants in Oklahoma and Cincinnati, Ohio, by the time he was 20.  Alan then moved back to Oklahoma and began working in the energy industry for Koch Hydrocarbon, and later ONEOK, Inc., from 1976 through the present.

Alan and his special fur baby, Brutus, were inseparable.  If you saw one, you knew that the other one was not very far away.  He enjoyed home remodeling, gardening, landscaping, and spending time in his backyard during the summer months.  Alan was an avid supporter of the Oklahoma State Cowboys and loved going to rock concerts.  He was fun to be around and was well known for his “Alan-isms”.

Alan married Marsha Kay Zeman on September 21, 1974, and they later divorced.  On December 19, 1988, he married Gaylene Marie Bartz, in Medford, OK.  They shared over 33 years of marriage.

Alan is survived by:  his wife, Gaylene Raupe of Hutchinson, KS; daughter, Randi Prieto and husband Fred of Georgetown, TX; son, Caleb Van Dolah and wife Elizabeth of Houston, TX; son, Aaron Van Dolah of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Alexia Taelyr Tapia, Jace Alan Prieto, and Cade Christian Prieto; faithful sidekick, Brutus; four granddogs; siblings, Nila Raupe, Charles Raupe, and Michael Raupe and wife Brenda and family; uncle, Kenneth Klutsenbaker; and Randi’s mother, Marsha Kay (Zeman) Triplett.

He was preceded in death by:  his parents; aunt, Charlene Klutsenbaker; and uncle, John Lazenby.

Celebration of Life gathering will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Sandhills Brewing, 111 W. 2nd, Hutchinson, KS.  Those attending are welcome to come and go.
