HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson City Council will seek approval to hand out about $90,000 of the CDBG-CV funds during a special meeting Tuesday.
The city provided a list of 11 recipients from 13 applications for the funds that were provided to both the city and county. The city and county are each getting $132,000 to distribute.
The list of businesses includes food service, small businesses and day cares. The grants range from $2,500 all the way to $20,000. City Planner Ryan Hvitlok said earlier in the week that, if there were still funds available, they would put out a second request for applications. If approved by the council as is, there would still be about $30,000 available after administration costs.
Tuesday’s meeting begins at 9 a.m. at the Hutchinson city offices.
