HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hesston dominated the Central Kansas League boys golf tournament Monday at Crazy Horse Golf Course, winning the team title by 43 strokes.
The Swathers shot a 311, well ahead of second-place Hoisington, which finished with a 354. Pratt was third with a 399, followed by Hillsboro at 403, Nickerson at 407, Larned at 408 and Halstead at 428.
Hesston also swept the top three individual spots. Carter Frey won the individual championship with a 1-under-par 71 on the par-72 course. Frey shot 36 on the front nine and 35 on the back.
Isaac Rusche finished second with a 76, while Evan Koehn was third with a 78. Reece Buhrman added an 86 to finish seventh, Austin Penner was eighth with an 88, and Aiden Bridgeman tied for ninth with an 89.
Nickerson was led by Jacob Myers, who finished sixth with an 84. Kyler Nikkel tied for 16th with a 100, Lane Hoskinson tied for 21st with a 103, Gage Hoskinson shot 120, Trey Jones finished with a 123 and Brayden Mathis shot 125.
Halstead was led by Maxx Linton, who finished 18th with a 101. Harrison Wilson tied for 21st with a 103, Brock Odendahl shot 108, Lance Anderson finished with a 116, Aaron Learn shot 122 and Braxton Ervin finished with a 128.
Pratt was led by Beau Ferrell, who placed fourth with an 81. Teagan Richardson tied for 24th with a 105, Drake Riffey shot 106, Berkley Blasi finished with a 107 and Blake Blasi shot 128.
