HUTCHINSON, Kan. — During the month of November the Hutchinson Zoo is partnering with the Hutchinson Public Library to encourage you and your family to read more about our local ecosystem, the prairie.
This endangered ecosystem is home to many animals and all are featured in Donna Bateman's book "Out on the Prairie".
By checking out this book at the library in November, you will receive two free train tickets for the Prairie Thunder Railroad at the Hutchinson Zoo!
Keep in mind, the book will only be able to be checked out for one week at a time to allow more families to participate. Two copies of the book are available to check out.
To kick off this partnership, zoo staff will also be visiting the library on Nov. 4 and Nov. 9 at 10:30 a.m. and those who attend can meet some animals that call the prairie home.
