Today's "Throwback Thursday Collection" takes us to the northeast corner of North Main and 17th along Crescent Boulevard.
The Crescent Park Addition was opened up in 1915 by the Sweet-Coe Improvement Co. and the J.N. Bailey Realty Company.
The home at 2 Crescent Blvd. was built in 1917 and occupied by J.N. Bailey, a successful real estate agency owner. The first photo is a 1920 color postcard showing the entrance to the Crescent Park Addition with Bailey's No. 2 home already finished on the left.

By 1922, Edward Colson, the owner of the Chalmers Hotel, bought the home and lived there until 1928.
Harry Hyter and his wife, Elizabeth, owned it from 1928 to 1974. The second photo shows the No. 2 Crescent home in 1940 during the Hyter era.

In 1974, Larry Brown, an oil production man and the one who built Fun Valley, bought the home and added a huge addition to the north, which included an indoor swimming pool.
Between 1983 to 1986, it was vacant.
Willard Gettle owned the home in 1986 and 1987.
In 1988, Cleyon and Laura Yowell purchased the home and have been there ever since. The third photo shows the 2 Crescent Blvd. home today still owned by the Yowell's.
