HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Salvation Army, First Call for Help, and Walmart are all teaming up to give customers a chance to “stuff the bus” and provide school supplies this weekend.
There will be a collection bin for additional school supplies at Walmart at 1905 E. 17th this weekend at the service desk for donations.
Once collected, the supplies will be available to families of school-age children by contacting First Call for Help. Anyone needing assistance should call 620-669-0159.
The most common items needed are spiral notebooks, three-ring binders, colored pencils, pocket folders, and general classroom supplies such as facial tissue, glue sticks, and dry erase markers.
Donations will be accepted at Walmart Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can also be dropped off at The Salvation Army at 700 N. Walnut Street in Hutchinson next week.
