HUTCHINSON, Kan. — At their September meeting, the Sky Ryders Performing Arts Foundation board named Dale Antoine Executive Director of the Sky Ryders Drum and Bugle Corps.

In 1970, Antoine became a member of the Jets Drum and Bugle Corps (the cadet corps to the Sky Ryders) and in 1971, he joined the Sky Ryders and marched through 1978 in the brass line playing baritone. In 1979 and 1980, Dale was a member of the corps visual staff.

After several years away, Dale returned as Business Manager and in the spring of 1986, Dale became the Executive Director of the Sky Ryders.

The corps achieved its greatest competitive success during those years, placing 9th in 1986 and 12th in both 1987 and 1988 at the DCI World Championships. Dale left the activity in spring of 1989 and then returned in 1996 as a member of the DCI Event Staff.

He currently serves as a DCI Contest Director and Event Staff Coordinator, and On-Site Manager for the DCI Championships and many of the major regional championships.

This appointment is a significant step forward for the future of the Sky Ryders Drum and Bugle Corps.
