
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Family Health Fair is Saturday, March 26 in the Sunflower South Building at the Kansas State Fairgrounds.
The 8 a.m. to noon event is sponsored by Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System (HRHS) There will be 11 complimentary screenings on a first-come-first-serve basis, including
· Carotid Doppler checks designed to determine the onset of plaque buildup in arteries which may lead to heart and vascular issues
· Heart risk assessments
· Blood pressure checks and BMI
· Stroke education
· Ask a Pharmacist prescription questions
· Depression and anxiety screenings
Staff from the Hutchinson Clinic will be available for Biometric Screenings.
Representatives of Prairie Star Health Center will offer screenings for:
· Breast cancer
· Dental cancer
· Diabetic foot issues
· Eye glass cleaning and adjustments
The event is taking place in conjunction with the Soroptomist Women's Show. The Women's Show is in the Meadowlark Building. The Health Fair is free. The women's show is $2, with tickets available at Don’s Custom Floral, the Kansas State Fair Administrative Office, YMCA and the Alley or $4 at the door on Saturday.
