ENID, Oklahoma – Freshman forward Isabela Puccinelli scored two goals and freshman Ava McAninch recorded two assists to lead the No. 15-ranked Hutchinson Community College women's soccer team to a dominant 4-0 victory over NOC-Enid on Sunday afternoon at the Enid Soccer Complex.
The Blue Dragons posted their second-straight shutout and start the season 3-0 for the 11th time in program history.
Hutchinson has added a game to make up for the loss of the Newman University JV game from its original schedule. The Blue Dragons will play host to Wichita United U18 at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Salthawk Soccer Complex.
Puccinelli scored a pair of first-half goals for her first and second career goals. Puccinelli just missed a hat trick when she hit the right post with a shot attempt with 21 minutes to play in the second half.
Olivia Tamaki and Beatriz Carvalho both scored second-half goals for their first career goals.
McAninch had two assists to lead the Dragons. Isabell Van Fleet and Poppy Smith added assists.
The Blue Dragons out-shot NOC-Enid 23-0, including 10-0 in shots on goal.
This is the 51st time in program history that the Blue Dragons held an opponent without a shot on goal and it's the 31st time that they didn't allow an opponent a single shot attempt.
Making her first career start, freshman goalkeeper Rylee Loague (1-0), didn't have to make a save.
The Blue Dragons dominated possession throughout the game and had 11 corner kicks to none for the Jets.
With the Jets packing the defense in its own end, the Dragons finally found their way through the heavy traffic in the 24th minute. McAninch played a soft, high pass into the box that Puccinelli sprinted to get and headed home from 10 yards out for her first career goal, giving the Blue Dragon a 1-0 lead with 21:22 to play in the half.
Puccinelli made it 2-0 in the 36th minute when she smashed in a shot from the right side of the penalty box, taking a perfect pass from Van Fleet.
The Blue Dragons scored a goal off a corner kick for the third-straight game when McAninch delivered the corner about 8 yards in front of the goal and Tamaki headed the ball for a goal and a 3-0 lead with 35:13 to play in the game.
Hutchinson's fourth goal came from Carvalho, who took a pass from Smith that got past two Jet defenders right to the foot of Carvalho for a 4-0 lead with 7:25 to play in the second half.

+ Now with seven points, Poppy Smith has points in three-straight games.
+ Isabela Puccinelli is the second Blue Dragon to have a multi-goal game this season. Poppy Smith scored two goals against Trinity Valley in the season opener.
