Reno County residents are being asked to watch their mailboxes as officials launch a new survey seeking public input on potential sales tax options.
County leaders said approximately 4,000 residents were randomly selected to receive the survey, which is arriving by mail this week. The effort is part of an ongoing evaluation of whether to pursue additional sales tax measures and how those options might impact local needs and priorities.
Residents who receive the survey may complete it on paper and return it using the included postage-paid envelope. County officials say the feedback will play an important role in guiding future discussions.

“We appreciate everyone who takes the time to respond,” county representatives said in a statement. “Public input is essential as we work through decisions that affect all of Reno County.”
Only those selected by the random sampling process will receive a survey. Officials expect results to be compiled and presented to county leaders later this year.
