HutchCC announces Quarterback Club HOF announces class of 2026

The Hutchinson Blue Dragon Quarterback Club Hall of Fame will add six new members in the Induction Class of 2026.

The Quarterback Club Hall of Fame Committee announced on Friday that Blue Dragon football players Adam Davis, Meshak Williams and Toby Johnson, men's basketball player Darius Johnson-Odom, volleyball player Thais Franca and women's soccer player Danielle Sheehy will be part of the Induction Class of 2026.

The 2026 Hall of Fame Induction will take place at halftime of the Blue Dragon men's basketball game with Butler on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

ADAM DAVIS (Football 2008-09)A two-time All-Jayhawk Conference defensive end from Folkston, Georgia, Adam Davis was part of the teams that formed the foundation of the Blue Dragon football resurgence under former head coach Rion Rhoades.

As a freshman, Davis was an honorable mention all-KJCCC player with 14.5 quarterback sacks, 28 tackles for loss and 53 total tackles.

As a sophomore in 2010, Davis had eight sacks, 14 tackles for loss and 46 tackles. He was named a 2009 first-team all-conference player and second-team NJCAA All-American.

Davis is still tied for second in Blue Dragon career sacks with 22.5. Davis went on to play football at Kansas State.

THAIS FRANCA (Volleyball 2004-05)Thais Franca was a 6-foot-4 middle blocker from Santos, Brazil and was a member that brought Blue Dragon volleyball to national prominence.

Franca was the leading blocker and an all-conference/all-region performer on Hutchinson's 43-1 team that finished fifth in the 2004 NJCAA Tournament.

She earned second-team All-America status in 2005 as one of the top blockers in the nation and helped HutchCC repeat as league and region champions.

Currently coach college volleyball in Florida, Franca is the current record holder for hitting percentage (.426 on 1,560 attacks, 827 kills). She is fifth in career kills, fifth in career blocks (304) and sixth in blocks per set (1.17).

TOBY JOHNSON (Football 2011-12)Toby Johnson, a defensive tackle from College Park, Georgia, was a two-year starter for the Blue Dragons and earned second-team NJCAA All-America honors in 2012. '

Johnson finished with 37 total tackles, 12 were unassisted. He had 6.5 tackles for loss, including three quarterback sacks. He also had four passes defensed in 2012.

For his career, Johnson had 87 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss and five quarterback sacks. He also had nine passes broken up, a forced fumble, fumble recovery and two blocked kicks. Johnson went to Georgia and in 2013 signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent. Johnson has spent time with the Titans, Bears, Vikings, Panthers and Lions.

DARIUS JOHNSON-ODOM (Men's Basketball 2008-09)Darius Johnson-Odom was a one-year player who had a major impact on the Blue Dragon Men's Basketball program.

Johnson-Odom, a 6-2 point guard from Raleigh, North Carolina, earned first-team NJCAA and NABC All-America Status in 2009. He finished with 692 total points and a 21.6 point-per-game scoring average, which led Region 6 and ranked 14th in the NJCAA.

He shot 47.9 percent overall from the field, including 38.8 percent from 3-point range. He is a 77 percent free-throw shooter. Johnson-Odom averaged 5.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.5 blocked shots per game. Johnson-Odom also owns the freshman record for free throws (191).

He had 22 games of 20 or more points, four of 30 or more points and a school record 46 points against Coffeyville on Dec. 5, 2008 at the Jayhawk Shootout.

DANIELLE SHEEHY (Women's Soccer 2012)A one-year Blue Dragon, forward Danielle Sheehy was a first-team All-American in 2012 and the 2012 Jayhawk Conference Offensive Player of the Year.

A 5-2 forward from Limerick, Ireland, Sheehy set six-single-season records in 2012: Goals scored – 38, Points – 99; Shots taken – 162; Shots on goal taken – 86; multi-point games – 13; multi-goals games – 12 and hat tricks – 8. Her 23 assists ranked second on the single-season list.

Sheehy had four goals in a game four times, three games of 10 or more points and seven multi-assist games with a high of four against Independence.

Sheehy led the NJCAA in points scored, was second in goals scored and fourth in assists. She was also named the Jayhawk Conference Offensive Player of the Year.

MESHAK WILLIAMS (Football 2009-10)Meshak Williams was a two-time All-Jayhawk Conference defensive end, who played on the 2009 and 2010 Blue Dragon teams.

Williams, a 6-4, 237-pound defensive end from Sylvester, Georgia, is still fifth in Blue Dragon history in career quarterback sacks with 19.5 sacks.

As a freshman, Williams had 11.5 sacks, led the KJCCC in tackles for loss with 23.5 and had 52 total tackles. He was a second-team all-conference player as a freshman. Named a second-team NJCAA All-American in 2010, Williams had eight sacks, 23.5 tackles for loss and 42 tackles in his sophomore season.

Williams moved onto Kansas State, where he was an all-Big XII performer for the Wildcats.
