KANSAS CITY, Mo. — McPherson College remained at No. 5 in the latest NAIA Women’s Volleyball Coaches’ Poll released Wednesday.

The Bulldogs (11-2) held the same position for the second consecutive poll and have been ranked inside the top 10 in each of the last three polls.

McPherson enters Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference play riding a nine-match winning streak after dropping its first two matches of the season against nationally recognized opponents.

The Bulldogs have featured a balanced attack with five players averaging at least two kills per set.

Senior middle blocker Enya Fierens leads McPherson with 126 kills and a .405 hitting percentage. Tori Buss has added 94 kills, Lily Gray has 93, Havana Olander has 87 and freshman Miriam Maino has 84.

Setters Tabor Scanlon and Roxana Varela Parra have combined for 477 assists.

McPherson’s winning streak includes victories over Doane, Loyola (La.), Central Methodist and Texas Wesleyan.

Eastern Oregon remained the unanimous No. 1 team with all 18 first-place votes and a 15-0 record. Concordia (Neb.) moved up one spot to No. 2, Northwestern (Iowa) dropped to No. 3 and College of Idaho jumped five spots to No. 4.
