Tom W. Sadey, 72 of McPherson died Friday, March 18, 2022 at his home in McPherson, with his family by his side. He had been an auto mechanic for Lacy-Regehr Motors for 49 years and a resident of McPherson all his married life.
He was born May 31, 1949 in McPherson, the son of Garland and Bernadine (Yeager) Sadey. He grew up on the farm north of Canton and graduated from Canton High School.
On May 22, 1971 Tom was united in marriage to Mary Fainter in Wichita and they were blessed with two daughters, Laurie and Karen. He was a member of Harmony Christian Church, McPherson.
Survivors include his wife of over 50 years, Mary; his two daughters, Laurie (John) Armstrong of Apple Valley, California and Karen (Jeremy) Gunter of McPherson; two brothers, Jim Sadey of Canton and Bill (Kathy) Sadey of Falun; a sister, Marie (Larry) Klinkerman, Canton; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service with inurnment in the Canton Township Cemetery will be held at a later date. A memorial has been established with The McPherson County Humane Society, in care of Olson's Mortuary, Canton.
