COVID-19 active case count at 43 as of Thursday afternoon in Reno County

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The current COVID-19 case count in Reno County, as of Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. is at 43 active cases. Ninety-nine people have recovered. No one has died with COVID-19 listed as the primary cause of death in Reno County thus far. The dashboard still lists five hospitalizations.

The Health Department would like to remind everyone to continue the following hygiene practices to eliminate the spread of COVID-19.

• Wash your hands frequently

• Practice social distancing (stay at least 6 feet apart from others)

• Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth

• Cough and sneeze into your elbow bend (even when wearing a mask)

• Limit handshakes and physical contact

• Stay home when you are sick unless seeking medical attention

• Use a face covering when in public places.

The Health Department continues to highly encourage Reno County residents to be dependent on health authorities to provide the most accurate information on COVID-19.
