USD 308 board to hold Monday study session

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Monday night's study session of the USD 308 Board of Education will have a relatively light agenda.

On the agenda for Monday is the regular monthly expenditure review with Superintendent Mike Folks, a look at the audit report from Swindoll, Janzen, Hawk and Loyd and a brief look at how the gating criteria is working at this point, though no specifics are noted in the board documents.

Also. action is expected on the research agreement with EAB. The agreement has been in force for a year now. Minutes of the board's last meeting will be approved and gifts to schools will be accepted.

In addition, the board will go over the handbook for classified employees for the year, approve a plan for an official K-12 and adult virtual school plan for the 2021-2022 school year. The board will continue to review operational expectations in fiscal planning and superintendent succession, go over grant applications within the district, expend some cares funding for Reno County Head Start for Clear Touch Interactive Panels and receive the monthly treasurer's report.

Following that, the board will go into executive session to discuss non-elected personnel and then approve the personnel report.

The board will then recess to the curriculum lab for a study session where they will look at Advisory Committee, Facility Study and OE Reviews.

The study session will begin at 6:00 p.m. Monday at the Career and Technical Education Academy at 800 15th Circle in Hutchinson.
