KINGMAN COUNTY—A Kansas woman was injured in an accident just before 2 p.m. Thursday in Kingman County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1999 Chevy Blazer driven by Sharon A. Swope, 65, Zenda, was southbound on SW 170 Avenue five miles south of Cunningham.
The driver took her eyes off the road to reach for an object in the vehicle. The SUV then left the road, traveled into the east ditch, went through a fence and into a field. The driver may have had a medical condition that contributed to this crash.
EMS transported Swope to the hospital in Kingman. She was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
