SPRINGDALE, Ark. — The Wichita Wind Surge rallied from a four-run deficit before falling 7-6 in 10 innings to the Northwest Arkansas Naturals on Tuesday night at Arvest Ballpark.
Northwest Arkansas won the series opener on a walk-off single down the left-field line in the bottom of the 10th.
The Naturals built a 6-2 lead through five innings, but Wichita tied the game with a four-run seventh that included five walks and two wild pitches.
Khadim Diaw homered and recorded his 12th multi-hit game of the season while extending his hitting streak to 15 games. Marek Houston reached base for the 27th straight game, and Caden Kendle extended his on-base streak to 20 games.
Preston Johnson threw four scoreless innings of relief, allowing one hit and striking out five. Wichita pitchers combined for 11 strikeouts.
