HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A downtown Hutchinson business owner is opening up her space to be sure residents are registered to vote.
"Voting is foundational to our society," said Sara Crow with Crow and Co. bookstore in downtown Hutchinson. "I just want to make sure that as many people as possible are signed up and registered before the deadline."
You can register to vote at Crow and Co. between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesday at 2 South Main in Hutchinson.
"I was talking to Miriam Kitson actually, from Hutch and Harmony and she mentioned the deadline was coming up, and I was like, oh, well, maybe we should do something and make sure everyone who has the opportunity is registered to vote," Crow said.
Volunteers from United Way of Reno County, Prairie Independent Living Resource Center, Hutch in Harmony and Big Brothers Big Sisters will be available to help get forms filled out properly.
Tuesday is the deadline to register for the November 3 general election.
