HUTCHINSON, Kan. — To help families get ready for the first days of school on Aug. 19 and 20, two vaccination clinics are planned by Hutchinson Public Schools for June and July.
These clinics are being held in collaboration with the Reno County Health Department. The clinics will be:
Friday, June 19: 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. Hutchinson High School’s Salthawk Activity Center
Friday, July 24: 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. HHS Salthawk Activity Center
The list of vaccinations required can be found at tinyurl.com/shots2020.
The goal of the clinics is to provide an opportunity for incoming seventh-grade students and incoming juniors at HHS to receive required vaccinations
To receive vaccinations at shot clinics, parents must fill out the form on the district site tinyurl.com/usd308shots. The form will also be available to fill out on-site. Parents need to have their insurance card.
At the vaccination clinics, face masks are recommended but not required as part of COVID-19 precautions. Families are asked to practice social distancing and only the student receiving the shot and a guardian may come into the SAC.
Student immunizations must be on record with the school nurse before the first day of school to avoid exclusion. Students who have received immunizations need to make sure their provider has shared that information with the student’s school.
