HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutch Rec's Senior Center at Elmdale Park has reopened again. The center opened its doors with some limitations on Monday. The center now offers billiards, pickleball, the fitness room and wellness classes. The center’s gymnasium is also open for use.
The center still offers a curbside carry-out lunch program and will continue to do so through the end of June. This program is offered to members on Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week, with a menu posted at hutchrec.com. The center is considering bringing back the in-person lunch program as well.
To keep everyone healthy and safe, the center asks that members practice social distancing and avoid close contact with others while in the senior center. Members will also be asked to respect the staff's requests to follow proper guidelines set forth by the Kansas Recreation and Parks Association and local health authorities.
Some activities will be limited in numbers and some will require a reservation.
