Sheriff's office looking for help with Thursday injury accident

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Reno County Sheriff's Office is looking for the public's help with a hit and run injury accident that took place Thursday night.

According to a Facebook post from the department, just before 10 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 7000 block of east 4th Avenue. Deputies were advised a 14-year-old pedestrian had been struck by a dark colored SUV which left the scene. The pedestrian was transported by private vehicle to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for minor injuries.

The vehicle will likely have damage to the passenger side mirror and passenger side door.
