HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Nickerson USD 309 School Board will hold another special meeting this evening as they continue to try and come up with a viable plan for renovating the football field and surrounding track.
The Board has been discussing how to get both projects done without interfering with the spring sports seasons. There’s also the issue of coming up with enough of a water use allowance to maintain the playing fields.
The district is looking at various options including getting water from the city and maybe even adjacent landowners.
Tonight’s meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the school district offices at 4501 West 4th Avenue just west of Fun Valley.
