Smallville Festival is Third Thursday theme

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Smallville Festival presented by First National Bank is the theme of Third Thursday tonight.

Main Street from Avenue A to Avenue C will be closed to celebrate.

The official 2022 Smallville Proclamation will be read on the main stage in front of the Stevens Building.

There will also be live on-stage music performances and a youth costume contest will also take place on the main stage with prizes presented by Christopher Wietrick of seriouslysmallville.com. The Youth Costume Contest is FREE to enter and registration starts at 6:00 p.m.

A Downtown Block Party will also take place starting at 6:00 p.m. hosted by Lit Studios Paint and Pottery, and Splinters N Rust DIY Workshop. Enjoy bounce houses, arts and crafts, games, as well as make and take projects and adult beverages from Board & Brush.

Further down Main Street at Chester I. Lewis Plaza the Hutchinson NAACP will be hosting their Juneteenth Talent Show and other fun activities that start at 5:30 p.m.
