NICKERSON, Kan. — One person was killed in a car/ semi accident Friday in Reno County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a car driven by 35-year-old, Travis William Mayer, of Nickerson, was going west on K-14 when he crossed the center line and was hit by an eastbound semi driven by 42-year-old Jaret Frack of Bel Aire, Kansas.
Mayer was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to the Sedgwick County Forensic Science Center.
Frack was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
The accident happened just after 2 p.m. four-miles west of Nickerson.
