Michael Joseph ‘Mike’ Gonzales, 56, of Hutchinson, died May 23, 2020, at his home after a long battle with liver cancer.  He was born June 7, 1963, in Hutchinson, the son of Rudolph and Rita (Ramirez) Gonzales.

Mike graduated from Hutchinson High School and worked as a machinist in several area shops and at Consolidated for 12 years. He was a member of Guardians of the Children Motorcycle Club - Salt City Chapter, and loved camping, fishing, and participating in Toys-for-Tots. Mike was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Hutchinson.

He is survived by his fiancé, Linda Cole, of the home; brothers, Daniel Gonzales, Hutchinson, David Gonzales (Kim) Phoenix, AZ, James Gonzales (Marla, Oklahoma City, OK; stepchildren, Michael Klaers, Perkins, OK, Boe Nelson (Jessica, Anna Yoder (Wilbur, Rita Riney (Terryn, all of Hutchinson; 14 grandchildren (of whom Ariya and Jacobi Klaers were his favorite); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents.

Parish rosary will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2020, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2020, both at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 211 E. 5th Ave., Hutchinson, with Fr. Mike Maybrier officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park. Friends may call from 9 a.m to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
