HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Regional Medical Center took time Thursday to congratulate longtime employee Terri Downing. Downing has been at the job for 55 years.
Downing works in the central supply office and currently does date record entry in the department. Downing started in housekeeping in April of 1965 and was originally at the old St. Elizabeth's Hospital before the two city hospitals merged to the current facility.
Downing says it is the only job she has had and started shortly after graduation from Pretty Prairie school.
A special reception was held for Downing on Thursday.
