
Jerry Warren Westerman, 84, of Moundridge, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Newton Medical Center. He was born December 22, 1935 in Harvey County, KS, the son of Lester and Nelda (Fowler) Westerman.
He served in the United States Army from 1960-1964, attaining the rank of Specialist 4. He was self-employed as a barber and owned his own barbershop. After retiring from barbering, he opened up a flea market in rural Haysville. He enjoyed going to auctions and meeting many friends.
He is survived by his son, Robert (Terri) Westerman of Horseshoe Bay, TX; sister, Nyla Stucky of Moundridge; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Max Westerman, Betty Krehbiel, and Norma Huffman; and best friend Don Kent.
Cremation is planned with burial at Mound Township Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Moundridge Historical Association, in care of Moundridge Funeral Home, PO Box 410, Moundridge, KS 67107.
