HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson USD 308 announced it will continue the drive-thru meal service into the summer. The service was put in place to provide meals to students during the shutdown caused by the pandemic. The district normally provides lunches during the summer.
The district will finish out the school year by serving through May 22 before taking the Memorial Day holiday. The district will then pick back up again on May 26. Starting June 1, the district will add two more locations: the Hutchinson library and fairgrounds splash park.
The district says the information going out to students and families will say the district will serve through June 30. The district hopes to continue drive-thru service through July 24.
The district provides meals for all Hutchinson students along with students from USD 313 that live in Hutchinson.
