HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The latest number for Match Day with the Hutchinson Community Foundation is massive. As of early Wednesday morning, Reno County had given nearly 2000 gifts totaling over $360,000.

"That is phenomenal," said Wendy Skellenger with the Foundation. "Thank you, Reno County! You turned out for our nonprofits. It has been a real journey. For some of us, it started at 6:00 in the morning. Kari Mailloux was on the radio bright and early and we all kind of took a turn at that. We're just so overwhelmed with how much support you have given this event and all of our nonprofits."

Not all of the gifts from Tuesday had been processed as of early Wednesday morning, so the numbers will likely go up before we get a final tally. As of Wednesday morning, Boys and Girls Clubs of Hutchinson had the top donation total with over $30,000 given. The Food Bank of Reno County had the most gifts with 176 givers donating to them. The 2016 record was $267,000.
