Two arrested on potential drug and weapons charges

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Police made two arrests on suspicion of drug and weapons charges on Monday.

Hutchinson Police report they stopped a car driven by 40-year old Tian Patterson in the 100 block of W 9th for failing to use a turn signal around 2:25 p.m. A passenger in the vehicle, 45-year-old Bobby Hemphill was taken into custody on suspicion of possession of meth and components to manufacture meth along with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Hemphill was also arrested for being in possession of a firearm as a convicted felon and criminal use of a weapon. Patterson was arrested for driving while suspended and criminal possession of a firearm.

Hemphill is being held on a bond of $32,500. Patterson is free on bond.
